AAP Road Show (Social Media)
National News: After securing a resounding win in the Ludhiana West by-election, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) expressed gratitude to voters with a grand victory roadshow. The significant lead achieved by newly elected MLA Sanjeev Arora underscored a shift in voter sentiment—favoring performance-driven and honest leadership over traditional politics.
Thousands turned out to celebrate, joined by top AAP leaders including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP’s Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, state president Aman Arora, executive president Amansher Singh Shairi Kalsi, and several legislators. The celebratory procession turned the city streets into a wave of yellow and enthusiastic supporters.
Addressing the jubilant crowd, CM Bhagwant Mann extended heartfelt thanks to the electorate. “By electing Sanjeev Arora with an even greater margin than before, you’ve shown your trust in the AAP’s governance model. This win reaffirms that citizens value service-oriented politics over hollow promises or arrogance. Those who considered themselves undefeatable have now seen that the people hold the ultimate authority in a democracy.”
Taking a strong jab at opposition parties, Mann added, “The Congress, founded in 1885, and the Shiromani Akali Dal, established in 1920, are now out of touch with current realities. The forfeiture of the Akali Dal candidate’s deposit shows the public’s clear rejection of their outdated politics and inflated egos.”
He praised the hard work of AAP’s grassroots volunteers and emphasized that the party’s mission is to revive Punjab’s lost glory and transform it into a vibrant "Rangla Punjab," rather than promising foreign-like fantasies.
Senior AAP leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia described the Ludhiana West win as a “semi-final,” signaling the beginning of a political surge.
“After the wave of support in 2022, this by-election win feels like the beginning of a storm,” Sisodia declared. “The people of Ludhiana West didn’t just choose a candidate; they sent a clear message by rejecting the negativity and entitlement of traditional parties like the Congress and Akali Dal.”
He further said, “This victory is a strong endorsement of clean and transparent politics. Our focus now is to accelerate progress in Punjab—whether it’s eradicating drugs, improving education, or supporting farmers. We’re gearing up for 2027 with full speed.”
Expressing deep gratitude, newly elected MLA Sanjeev Arora credited the voters and AAP workers for the mandate. “This isn’t just my victory—it belongs to every resident of Ludhiana West. Over the last 100 days, I’ve devoted my efforts to listening to people’s concerns and respecting their voice. Going forward, we’ll work on a priority basis to address their issues.”
He also commended the spirit of unity and discipline within the party, saying, “I thank two families—my AAP family and the people of Ludhiana West. Together, we’ve shown how collective efforts and genuine intent can lay the foundation for real political change. This victory marks a new beginning for transformative leadership.”
